Unleashing the sales potential of your ExSP’ers is only the first step in sustaining a stronger company sales effort. The goal is to be enable those above average sales people who are capable of becoming ExSP’ers to advance, and to enable all sales people to take advantage of the best sales processes to enable them to be best that they can be.

Sales Team Super-Mentoring
ExSP offers a Super-Mentoring Program in which we help the ExSP’ers become mentors of newer, junior sales people with great potential, and support their effort to grow. In this program, the Mentors help the Mentees adopt more effective sales strategies and tactics. Mentees set goals at the beginning of this four month program, and work once a week for about an hour on gaining needed knowledge, motivation and skills. Weekly assignments are established, and Mentors hold Mentees accountable for achieving their goals.

To assist these sales Mentors in becoming successful coaches, something which may not come natural to all sales people, a Supervising Mentor coaches the Mentors. The SuperMentor helps the Mentor provide appropriate coaching support for the Mentee. If SuperMentoring takes place after an ExSP Intensive Sales Person Coaching Program, the SuperMentor also focuses on providing follow-up coaching to the Mentor.

Our Super-Mentoring program has several positive results:

  • It enables the “sales eagles” to share their knowledge and enthusiasm in a structured program to help other sales people improve their sales performance
  • It creates a team spirit built around the issue of improving core competencies and cross-support
  • It frees the sales manager to focus on other issues
  • It creates a sales performance culture.
